The Office of Faculty Diversity Initiatives was created to support academic units in their efforts to recruit and retain underrepresented faculty. Services provided include confidential consultations, advising, workshops and presentations, retention/ community building programs, and research and data analyses. Additionally, the office works with deans, chairs, and search committees to develop diverse applicant pools and serve as a central resource for underrepresented faculty.
The mission of the Office of Faculty Diversity Initiatives is to advance the University’s efforts to support underrepresented faculty. In collaboration with University leadership and academic units, the Office of Faculty Diversity Initiatives is dedicated fostering an environment that affirms a diverse and inclusive scholarly community through efforts involving research, education, recruitment, and retention.
