Consultation & Advising
Confidential consultations and advisement are available for faculty, staff, students and other University affiliates. Our services cover a wide range of topics, including the provision of mentoring resources, enhancing diversity recruitment efforts, and piloting diversity outreach initiatives. We also advise faculty on strategies for successfully cultivating inter- and intra-institutional pipeline relationships and writing diversity recruitment and retention plans for grant proposals. We are available to all divisions on campus to advise and help guide the process for comprehensive diversity recruitment planning.
Workshops and Presentations
Customized presentations and workshops are developed on topics such as diversity recruitment strategies, mentorship, and navigating the graduate environment as an underrepresented (URM) student, effective strategies and best practices for admissions committees, diversity awareness, and cultural competency. We are available to conduct presentations across the University to increase awareness around diversity, particularly on the topics of student engagement and recruitment, advancement, and retention.
